XI Amplify is for startups who have a product in the market or are about to release a product. XI Amplify targets more advanced startups in the Pikes Peak region or ones willing to relocate to the area for the program.
A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP
WHAT YOU GET:
Candidates who meet the following criteria will be the most competitive for admission to XI Amplify:
- Minimum team size consists of a full-time developer (40 hrs/week) and part-time CEO (20 hrs/week).
- Proven, validated revenue from qualified, arms-length customers.
- Robust product development road map and customer acquisition plan; business plan is optimal.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and previous history of embracing a holistic curriculum.
- An ability to scale quickly in a competitive industry.
- Located in Colorado or willing to relocate for the program duration, and have the ability to be in the XI Venture Center once a week.
XI AMPLIFY PARTICIPANTS
Barn Owl enables smart surveillance of remote assets with a cellular camera platform. They leverage solar-powered cameras, cellular connectivity, and
cloud-based computing for an end-to-end mobile solution. With Barn Owl, cellular data is affordable, secure, and scalable. Barn Owl partners with customers to develop smart surveillance solutions. When automated alerting and reporting creates significant value, their team works closely with experts to develop industry-specific artificial intelligence (AI). Barn Owl has gained initial traction in the livestock ranching industry, but their platform is capable of providing surveillance for a wide variety of businesses with remote assets.
Barn Owl Tech has seen an increased demand in their digital solutions, as the need for remote surveillance increases during COVID-19. The Barn Owl teams is also moving forward with their AFWERX SBIR grant contract, an Air Force business development initiative that supports commercialization of innovative technologies.
Bytable Foods is making food traceable and transparent. They create trustworthy data chains that track products from farm to fork using blockchain technology. By creating traceable and transparent supply chains for food, Bytable Foods gives consumers the information they need to make an informed choice about the food they buy, the companies they support, and where their money goes – all while making every single stakeholder in the food supply chain more efficient, from the producer all the way to the retailer.
Bytable Foods has seen an explosion in demand of ethically raised and regeneratively food from their marketplace. Due to stay-at-home and safer-at-home orders, their delivery solutions are allowing them to reach customers directly, and transparently provide ethically raised food solutions.
Cannacist is a mobile solution that provides information, support and personalized recommendations for people who use cannabis medically. By matching a user’s symptoms with a complete cannabinoid profile, users are able to make informed decisions about their health. The app also offers resources to ensure success, such as product and dispensary information and a telehealth “ask an expert” feature.
Cannacist, understanding the anxiety and unrest caused by COVID, has plans to release its app for download. Those that need live telehealth consulting and curated services will have access to reliable and research-backed medical cannabis suggestions.
FitSW is a software platform for personal trainers and gyms to manage every aspect of their businesses. FitSW enables trainers to create workouts, track progress, plan meals, accept payments and more all through our iOS, Android and web applications. Their mission is to provide exceptional and simple-to-use software that empowers fitness professionals worldwide to grow their businesses and make the world healthier.
FitSW was perfectly positioned with their online fitness coaching software as more and more people are trying to connect with their trainers virtually due to social distancing guidelines. They have launched a new site, Find Train Gain, which allows anyone to find and connect with a personal trainer.
Megacity is a social arcade in a cyberpunk, sci-fi setting. Using a familiar social media interface, players are transported into a new world where they can trade cryptocurrencies, fight robots and interact with characters and other players. The free-to-play, ad-free game platform uses blockchain to allow players to own in-game items and use their earned cryptocurrency within the universe.
Megacity is continuing to leverage the super-engaged blockchain community, and have seen a slight increase in their user base. Their dystopian gaming platform is having great success, and they are welcoming new users to the game.
Spark Mindset is creating a bridge from low-income high schools to high-paying cybersecurity careers. The two-year Cyber Space Academy uses immersive virtual reality to prepare students for industry certifications and entry-level cybersecurity careers. Many schools aren’t adequately prepared to create the pipeline to fill millions of unfilled cybersecurity jobs, and Spark Mindset is filling that gap.
Spark Mindset is identifying ways to pivot away from classroom learning and more to home-based programs through an online program, as they continue to create opportunities for students preparing for cybersecurity careers. Dedicated to supporting communities in need, Spark Mindset is offering a 70% scholarship to students that are minorities, female, and from low-income communities. Parents who pay in full help those who need scholarships to participate.
