Meet the SEVEN Technology Startups In Exponential Impact’s Fall 2024 SCALE Program

The Fall 2024 cohort of the Exponential Impact (XI) Accelerator program has officially begun. Over the next 12 weeks, seven technology startups will be learning through Exponential Impact’s holistic, mentor-driven program. 

The XI Accelerator supports founders by providing one-on-one expert mentorship, access to business resources, access to working space, and more to help them build strategies for sustainable personal and business growth. The Fall 2024 XI Accelerator startups are BAR-i, Business & Education Alliance, Catalan, Factorem, The Footy Travelers, Mente, and RollUp, Inc.


BAR-i

BAR-i is a bar inventory software company founded by Jamie Edwards and Scott Douthitt. BAR-i helps bars and restaurants boost profitability by offering a system that tracks liquor inventory with precision, comparing ounces used to ounces sold, which reduces costs by an average of 3%. www.bar-i.com

Business & Education Alliance

Business & Education Alliance, led by Executive Director Theresa Klinitski, aims to bridge the gap between education and workforce needs. Their platform, Career-Connected Learning (CCL) MARKETPLACE, connects students, educators, and businesses, addressing the skills gap and improving career readiness. www.businessandeducationalliance.org

Catalan

Catalan is a SaaS platform created by Ron Hardman that streamlines administrative tasks for small independent schools. With customizable tools for registration, staffing, and attendance tracking, Catalan improves efficiency and communication for educational institutions. www.catalanpro.com

Factorem was founded by Alexandra Zhang and Hardik Dobariya to transform custom parts manufacturing. Using AI technology, Factorem provides instant quotes, defect detection, and smart factory matching, reducing production time by 50% and cutting costs by 30%. www.factorem.co

The Footy Travelers

The Footy Travelers is a media brand and travel community founded by Colin Martin and Mike Tirone. Focused on connecting soccer fans through shared adventures, Footy Travelers offers a podcast, travel content, and branded merchandise, while promoting inclusivity and global connection. www.footytravelers.com

Mente

Mente is a medical technology company founded by Wes Hill and Patrick Codd. Mente offers RFID-based surgical instrument tracking systems to optimize OR workflows, reduce costs, and enhance safety by automating instrument counts and providing real-time usage data. www.mentemedical.com

RollUp, Inc. was founded by Connor and Bella Santana to simplify junk removal with a rideshare-style app. RollUp connects customers with local haulers, allowing them to negotiate prices and track jobs in real-time, creating a sustainable and community-driven solution. www.rollupapp.com
