BUSINESS SUPPORT FUND

OVERview

The Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC in partnership with Exponential Impact launched a fund and programming to support businesses affected by the November 19, 2022 Club Q shooting. Grants are available to businesses that experienced lost revenue, forced closure, employee staff hour reductions, or added security requirements.

Applications are due by December 12.

El Paso County based businesses that experienced negative financial impacts from the Club Q tragedy are eligible to apply for the business support fund.

Eligible Applicants must be able to provide proof of the following:

  • Applicant is 51% + majority owner of the business (or has consent of the owners)

  • Applicant is 18+ years of age

  • Organization is located in El Paso County, CO

  • Organization is not currently in bankruptcy

  • Valid SSN or EIN, and a Business Bank Account

  • Owner/Applicant is not debarred –SAM.gov registration is current, if applicable

  • Not have a conflict of interest with the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC or Exponential Impact

  • Narrative and documented evidence of negative impact to the business

eligibility

Program Details 

Eligible businesses can apply for a grant to offset fiscal impacts. The expected average grant size is $5,000. Awarded businesses will be provided access to XI’s Survive and Thrive program, including curriculum, resources, and mentorship.

An independent group of volunteer business leaders will review applications and award grants to support businesses that experienced lost revenue, forced closure, employee staff hour impacts, or added security.

Timeline

Applications are accepted from December 5-12. The review process will take 1-2 weeks, and funding announcements are expected by December 20.
